The history of Fish and Feather

We used to have shops in major shopping centres and were continually frustrated by not having enough space to carry all the stock that our customers wanted. We looked around for larger premises and finally settled on our present Kilsyth location.

We have watched this area grow from almost rural to very suburban. We actually grew up in the area and have seen many changes over the years. This building is a prime location and offers over 1000 sqm of floor space. This enabled us to fulfil the dream of being able to fill it with anything that anyone with a pet could possible want. We go pretty close!! If we don’t have it, we will do our best to get it for you. birds. Fish and Feather has just gone through a major renovation. We have been trading here for fourteen years now, and the old shop fittings were getting a little tired. Come in a see the new layout and be impressed by our new aquarium and live plant displays.
We are now completing the new pond display area and hand reared baby bird sections. This will make the store complete.

All of our staff are animal lovers. Everyone of them is there for the love of the animals. It is not just a job to them. They are always undergoing training to increase their knowledge and a few of them have also completed diplomas in Animal Care at Box Hill Tafe.
